OCTOBER 15, 2014: The New Mexico Department of Information Technology, which manages all Public Safety communications for the state of New Mexico, has chosen MCM Technology’s CommSHOP 360° solution to track, manage, and maintain its mission-critical communications assets. With New Mexico DoIT coming on board, they join a growing list of statewide MCM deployments across the U.S. including Texas, Oregon, and Virginia. MCM Technology now has more than 160 deployments in 38 of the 50 states and Canada.
New Mexico DoIT chose CommSHOP 360º due to its need for an enterprise class solution that could connect communications professionals from across the state. With CommSHOP 360º, New Mexico DoIT will be able to:
- Track all public safety communications assets such as portable radios, mobile radios, mobile data terminals, laptops, tower site equipment and more.
- Properly maintain and repair all equipment as well as monitor the costs of such repair efforts.
- Allow for a consolidated work effort among all technicians spread across the state in Albuquerque, Las Vegas (NM), Santa Fe, Las Cruces, and Roswell
- Appropriately comply with any asset managing standards required by the rollout of FirstNet.
Commenting on New Mexico DoIT’s decision to move forward with CommSHOP 360º, MCM’s President Tom Bartels added, “Having an organization such as the New Mexico Department of Information Technology choose MCM is a testament to the work we have put in over the last few years. We are honored to have them join our ever growing list of customers.” New Mexico DoIT went live with their solution this past July.
