Harford County Department of Emergency Services is responsible for the maintenance of a Public Safety and Public Service Radio System, as well as a paging system that alerts over 2000 pagers. They also work with the Law Enforcement agencies in the county to track and maintain over 1000 pieces of hardware for a Mobile Data System.
Harford County began working with MCM several years ago to implement a system to track and maintain this inventory, as well as the daily operations of our radio shop. Over the past 6 months we installed the CommShop360 solution. “The implementation process was quick and easy and we are now tracking over 5000 assets, as well as our daily operations and repairs on vehicles and equipment” says Randy Cunningham- Public Safety Technology Supervisor for Harford County
The county has several ongoing projects that once completed will bring their total assets tracked closer to 10000 pieces of equipment.
Over the next 6-8 months they are incorporating some of the additional modules of the product such as Preventative Maintenance schedules for not only assets but fixed equipment at our remote sites, Web Access for other agencies in the county, Inventory Management, Billing and Accounting for real time metrics to determine the true cost of our operations, and more.
