APCO International 78th Annual Conference & Expo

Minneapolis, MN- MCM wrapped up another APCO conference as a smashing success. Right from the beginning, there was a constant buzz around our booth that resulted in a ton of new leads and business connections. It was great to visit with new prospective customers, and put a few faces to names we have known and been supporting for years.

More than anything else though, APCO 2012 was one of the most gratifying conventions we’ve ever had. We had more people stop by our booth that had not only heard of MCM, but specifically sought us out on the show floor to discuss their asset management needs. Having a reputation that proceeds you is something on which you cannot put a price. It is the result of an incredible team effort from our company and strengthens the idea that what we are doing at MCM is bigger than simply the next deal.

We were also fortunate enough to sponsor and host an Executive Round Table event at this year’s conference. Along with the IJIS Institute and Eastern Communications, we were able to bring together some of the most influential people in our industry for an informative discussion on remaining vigilant in a time of constant change. The panelists ranged form APCO executives to ex-CIA. While this event was by invitation only, it was such hit that we have decided to host one again next year and open it up to the public.

All in all, this year’s APCO was very different from trade shows and conventions we have attended in the past. We come home form it not only with several new friends and business opportunities, but also a revitalized sense that if we stay the current course, smashing though the glass ceiling will soon be nothing more than a fond memory for MCM Technology.
